turnê pela América Central, onde fizeram quatro shows de sucesso, sendo dois ao

Greetings Craig, thank you for give us this
interview to our blog "Questões e Argumentos" It is an honor to
interview you, how are the activities of the Belligerent Intent band that
year and what plans for the future?
Craig: Thank you for the chance to
be interviewed here on your blog. It's been a tedious last few years as our
guitarist Matt Wilcock (ex Ackercocke/The Bezerker) had to do the move from
London UK to Melbourne Australia. We managed to get him over to play alongside
Morbid Angel here in Melbourne in April 2014 and
to record our album 'Eternity Of Hell & Torment' with him still living in London while Matt Crossingham (drums) and myself lived
here in Melbourne.
It was a good experience to do a album like this but of course we are happy he
is back in Melbourne
for good.
Our plans for this year is mainly in just doing a lot of local and interstate
shows here in Australia, allowing Matt Wilcock to settle his life back to
living here and writing new material for our up and coming album, due for
release early next year.
What is the current lineup of the band?

What are your main musical influences?
Craig: Wow, well each one of us has
a variety of taste in our musical influences, of course mainly the obvious
bands when it comes to Metal. Every band that ever meant anything in the
80s/90s (too many to mention) that was extreme we was there and grew up with
it. But speaking on Matt Crossinghams part he is 100% Metal, listens to nothing
else but Metal. Always has been the same! Matt Wilcock listens to pretty much Metal
but listens to a bit of different music from my knowledge, and myself I have a
wide variety of taste - a lot of influences from all genres.
But of course when it comes to Metal and the writings of Belligerent Intent we
will always maintain to keep it as extreme as possible because to us it's a
expression of us, our spirit and who we are, where we have come from. This is
where we absorb the passion to be as extreme as we are.. Some have a
dark past, some are just twisted.
You are from Australia, as you see the
underground scene in your country and what australian bands you like?
Craig: Well here in Australia it's very similar to the US in
the bands that are around but I find that no matter where you look these days
that everything is a clone of what has been. It's hard to find the killer
bands, but they are fucking there! I get blown away by some of the music I hear
and some others just bore the shit out of me..
To be honest I'm from the old school and not that up to date with what's
happening out there but we have Destruktor, Cemetery Urn, Sarfaust, AK11,
Hordes Of The Black Cross, Abominator, Laceration Mantra, Scars Of Sodom, Evil
Intent, Carcass Butcher (rip) Misery (rip) Abramelin (rip) Bestial Warlust
(rip) Nocturnal Graves, Twisted Fate, and so many more I can't think right now,
but that's a handful right off my head. There is a lot of other killer bands
out there and our mates King Parrot, kicking ass where ever the fuck they go!

How has been the impact of "Eternity of
Hell & Torment" worldwide?
Craig: Yeah we have received killer
feedback from the underground, also spreading out to a lot of other fans I had
no idea we would effect. That's what it's about to us though is stepping out
the boundaries and bringing the most intense and fucking aggressive brutal
Metal we can to open minds.
Big shout out to all our close fans who have supported Belligerent Intent and
brought the albums, shirts and been a big help to getting us to where we are today.

What are the main inspirations for the
compositions of the band's lyrics?
Craig: All our inspirations for this
band come from who we are, our interests in horror and evil, my own personal
world of the occult for 25yrs. But it's hate, violence, aggression and all the
dark matter of the earth that drives us, each one of us ain't had shit easy. My
extreme hatred for Christianity as a youth stemmed from my surroundings as
everywhere around me in the town I grew up was Christians and scumbags, my
father was a ward of the state for 3 yrs as a 8 yr old subjected to peadophile
priests and hellish tortures that they committed against children. It led him
to become a very violent and aggressive man, he bred that hate against
Christians into me unwillingly though I guess it was just engrained in my DNA
like a Legion of demons ready to possess. I have different views these days,
it's not so much about the 'Anti Christian' shit no more, I been there and done
that when I burnt the church, I did my time for that crap and to me now, it's
not a hatred against God, it's hatred against mankind and the evil that can
grow like a cancer inside each and everyone of us.
What stage equipment you have used in the shows
of the band? Craig: We have done many shows with
a lot of bands, nationally and intentionally. So we have used some fucking
killer stage set ups to some of the most b grade shocking shit u could imagine.
We have a assortment of equipment for local but most places we go we use
backlines on tour and maybe take a head, peddles, kicks or snare, Matt Wilock
has a heap of killer guitars, Jacksons, Gibsons, Ibanez, I use a ESP/LTD or my
Les Paul Gibson. Matt uses a Pearl,
but has a few different kick peddles and snares he alternates.

Saudações Zack, muito
obrigado por nos ceder essa entrevista ao nosso blog “Questões e Argumentos”, é
uma honra entrevistá-lo, como está sendo o ano de 2015 para a banda Goatwhore e
quais os planos para o futuro?
ZS:Nós estivemos realmente
ocupados esse ano o que é ótimo. Nós excursionamos pela Austrália e Nova
Zelândia por três semanas e logo após fomos diretamente para a Europa para uma
tour de um mês. Agora vamos nos preparar para uma turnê extensa como Headliners
pelos EUA com as bandas Black Breath, Ringworm e Theories.
Estamos planejando o restante do ano que com certeza será bem cheio.
Como foi o processo de
filmagem do videoclipe “Nocturnal Conjuration of the Accursed”, onde ele foi filmado? Quem foi
responsável pela produção?
ZS:Esse vídeo foi gravado no
Youtube Studios em Los Angeles. Vince Edwards, um grande amigo que faz parte do
nosso selo, chegou com a idéia pronta e basicamente dirigiu todo o vídeo. Fazer
videoclipes pode muitas vezes ser chato e tedioso, mas esse foi realmente muito
divertido de se fazer. Eu acho que ficou muito bom visualmente, Vince teve
visão, uma idéia única e nós conseguimos captar isso.
Qual a atual formação da
banda?
ZS: Tem sido a mesma formação
nos últimos 11 anos, com exceção do baixistas, parece até que temos má sorte
com eles. Recentemente, James, nosso baixista durante 5 anos saiu da banda, é
compreensível pois ele e a namorada tiveram um filho e ele foi cuidar de suas
obrigações. Atualmente temos o TA, do Texas, tocando baixo com a gente.
Quais são suas principais
influências musicais?
ZS: Pra mim tudo começou com
o Black Sabbath , depois veio Judas Priest, Motörhead, etc., Em seguida bandas
como Venom, Bathory e Celtic Frost, existem tantas bandas que nos influenciam a
dar forma ao som da banda, fora do metal nós somos muito influenciados por Punk
e Rock Clássico. Temos definitivamente uma grande quantidade de influências. É
uma boa musica para nós se tiver um bom riff que faça você bater cabeça.
Zack
Vocês são dos Estados Unidos,
como você vê a cena underground no seu país e quais bandas você destacaria?
ZS:Temos excelentes bandas
nos EUA atualmente, bandas como Midnight,
Krieg, Wolvhammer, Bones, Abysmal Lord and Warmaster são algumas que me vem à
mente agora e que eu curto bastante.
Goatwhore esteve presente na
trilha sonora da versão de 2010 de Splatterhouse e no jogo Saints Row: the
Third, vocês são fãs de videogames? Quais jogos vocês gostam mais?
ZS: Geralmente eu não jogo
videogame, mas acho muito legal ter uma musica da nossa banda na trilha sonora
desses jogos, outros caras da banda gostam de jogar no seu tempo livre, mas eu
não.
Onde é possível adquirir o

ZS: Nos nossos shows
principalmente se você quiser materiais exclusivos, você pode adquirir material

ZS:Sabe, tudo depende se

nossa sonoridade, nós somos uma banda que confiamos mais na musicalidade do que
em equipamentos caros, se você me entende.
Quais marcas apoiam ou
patrocinam a banda atualmente?
ZS: Estou mantendo parceria com
as baterias Pearl, Pratos Sabian, Peles Evans e Baquetas Ahead por vários anos
e muito bom ter o apoio dessas empresas, principalmente quando você está sempre
danificando os equipamentos na estrada.
Como tem sido a repercussão
de “Constricting Rage of the Merciless”
mundo afora?
ZS: Tudo tem sido realmente
muito positivo, tanto sei que tem sido muito positivo que estamos com a agenda
completamente lotada para esse ano, por isso creio que o disco está sendo muito
bem sucedido.
Para a banda como tem sido a
parceria com a Metal Blade Records?
ZS:Nós já estamos com a
Metal Blade a 4 álbuns e sempre foi uma parceria muito sólida, eles são uma
grande equipe e é um pessoal que podemos chamar de amigos.

ZS- We have been staying really busy this year which is
great. We’ve just toured Australia and New Zealand for three weeks and went
straight to Europe and the UK for a month straight afterwards. Now we are
getting ready for a full North American headlining tour this summer with Black
Breath, Ringworm, and Theories. We are already planning out the rest of the
year as well which will be just at busy!
Tell us aboutthefilming
process of the video “Nocturnal
Conjuration of the Accursed”, where it was made, who was responsible for the production ?
ZS- That video was recorded at
the YouTube studios in Los Angeles.
A great guy from our label, Vince Edwards came up with the whole idea and
basically directed the whole thing.
Shooting videos can be kind of tedious and annoying but this one was
actually fun to make. I think it came out great, visually. Vince had a great
vision and a unique idea and we captured it.
What is the current lineup of the band?
ZS- It’s been consistent for the last 11 years except
for bass players, which we seem to have bad luck with. Recently, our bass
player of five years, James, had a baby with his girlfriend so he had to step
out of the fold to take care of that obligation, understandably. We now have
our good friend, TA, from Texas playing bass with us.
What are your main musical influences?
ZS- For me it all starts with Black Sabbath, period.
From there it goes into Judas Priest, Motorhead, etc., and then into bands like
Bathory, Venom, and Celtic Frost. There are so many bands that we are
influenced by and that kind of find a way into the bands sound. Aside from
metal, we are definitely into a lot of punk and classic rock. There’s
definitely a wide spectrum of influences. Really, as long as it gets your head
moving and an honest riff, we’ll be into it.
You are from USA, as you see the underground
scene in your country and what american bands you like?
ZS- There are a lot of good bands coming out of the US
these days. Bands like Midnight, Krieg, Wolvhammer, Bones, Abysmal Lord and
Warmaster are a few that come to mind that I really enjoy.

Goatwhore appeared on the
soundtrack of the 2010 Splatterhouse version and Saints Row: The Third, You arevideo
game fans? Which gamesdo you
likemore?
ZS- I don’t play video games at all but it’s cool to have our music
included in those games! I can see how our music goes along with that,
definitely. Some of the other guys in the band play games in their spare time.
It’s never really been my thing…

ZS- Mainly at the shows if you want the unique designs.

playing our own gear or abroad playing rental stuff. Either way, we make it
work and make it suit our sound. We’re a band that relies more on expression
than fancy gear, if that makes sense.

ZS- Everything has been really, really positive. As
far as I know the record is doing well and we have been busy as hell touring
all over the world, so I’d say it’s a success. The songs really go over well
live and add to the energy of the shows. I can’t complain one bit.
For the band how it has been the partnership with Metal
Blade Records?
ZS- We’ve been with Metal Blade for four records now
and it’s always been a solid relationship. They’re a great team and are people
we can call friends.

Adam: Atualmente somos: Juan Carlos De Alba (Guitarra solo),
Danny Ramirez (Guitarra Base), Josh Null (Bateria) e Eu nos vocais, estamos
procurando por um novo baixista.
Quais são suas principais influências musicais?
Adam: Nós temos muitas, mas as principais são Suffocation e
Dissection, somos mais influenciados por Suffocation do que pelo Dissection,
temos muitos elementos de death metal no nosso som, nós gostamos de adicionar
melodias mais sombrias de vez em quando também.
Vocês são dos Estados Unidos, como você vê a cena
underground no seu país, quais bandas você destacaria?
Adam:Difícil de responder essa pergunta, nos EUA tem uma
quantidade muito grande de bandas do mais alto nível, para citar algumas: Cranial
Engorgement, Hemotoxin, Stages of Decomposition, Colpolscopy, Hideous Rebirth,
Euphoric Defilement, Inanimate Existence, Slamophiliac, Servile Conceptions,
Gravehill, Splattered, Logistic Slaughter, e bilhões de outras bandas.
Como tem sido a repercussão de “Arrival of the Dark Masters”
mundo afora?
Adam: As pessoas realmente têm curtido, temos visto muitas
resenhas positivas, esse EP é resultado de uma grande dedicação, e ele
representa muito bem o que somos musicalmente nos dias atuais.
Como foi para a banda a parceria com a Infinite Regress
Records?
Adam: Infelizmente a Infinite Regress Records encerrou suas
atividades no fim de 2012 por motivos financeiros, era um excelente selo, porém
eles acabaram com isso, Lindon e Steve
são grandes amigos nossos.
No momento estamos fazendo tudo de forma completamente
independente nos EUA, enquanto na Rússia a HeadXplode Records faz toda a
divulgação e distribuição na Europa.

Quais as principais inspirações para as composições das
letras da banda?
Adam: Eu sou muito fã de coisas brutais old school, como

atual, com todas essas guerras, invasões territoriais e toda essa loucura, eu
simplesmente sento e começo a criar as letras.

We're also
trying to promote our most recent release, the "Arrival of the Dark
Masters" EP which came out in December. It’s also going to be pressed and
released in Europe by HeadXplode Records!
What is the current lineup of the band?
Adam: Right now we have Juan Carlos De Alba on lead
guitar, with Danny Ramirez on Rhythm guitar, Josh Null on drums, and myself on
Vocals. We are currently in the market for a bass player.
What are your main musical influences?
Adam: We have many, but mainly Suffocation and
Dissection. More Suffo, than Dissection for sure, as we have alot more death
metal in our music than we do black metal, but we still love those evil
melodies sometimes.
You are from USA, as you see the underground
scene in your country and what american bands you like?
Adam: Oh man, that’s so difficult. The US is
full of some fucking top notch death metal bands. To list some off, Cranial
Engorgement, Hemotoxin, Stages of Decomposition, Colpolscopy, Hideous Rebirth,
Euphoric Defilement, Inanimate Existence, Slamophiliac, Servile Conceptions,
Gravehill, Splattered, Logistic Slaughter, and a billion more!
How has been the impact of "Arrival of the
dark masters" worldwide?
Adam: People definitely seem to enjoy it, and it’s
gotten some great reviews! The EP is a product of alot of hard work, and I
think it’s a great representation of where we're at musically right now
For the band how it has been the partnership
with Infinite Regress Records?
Adam: Unfortunately Infinite Regress Records closed
down in late 2012 due to financial reasons. It was a great label though, and
the guys running it Lindon and Steve are great dudes!
Right now
we're doing everything independently in the US,
with HeadXplode Records out of Russia
handling the distribution and pressing of our music in Europe.

What are the main inspirations for the
compositions of the band's lyrics?
Adam: I’m a pretty big fan of brutal old school
fantasy stuff. Like Conan the Barbarian, Army of Darkness, etc. So I like to in
vision a world like that, with all kinds of conquest, sorcery, and all kinds of
crazy shit, and I sit and formulate stories.
What stage equipment you have used in the shows
of the band?
Josh uses: Tama drums, Meinl cymbals, Axis pedals, Remo
drum heads, and Pro Mark drum sticks
JC uses:Jackson
and ESP/LTD guitars, EMG pick ups, Dadario strings, Peavy 6505 + amp head, and
Monster cables
Danny uses: Jackson RR3 guitar, EMG Pick ups, Peavey Valve
king 100 tube amp head, Marshall cabinet, Dunlop strings and picks
Adam uses: Digital Reference microphones

importante performance no Rock in Rio 2015 (19/09 – Rock Street Brasil), que
promoverá também o EP “Relentless Disease”. Este trabalho sucede o álbum
“Traces of The Trade”, reconhecido como um dos lançamentos mais expressivos do
Metal nacional nos últimos anos.
Formando em 2002, em Uberlândia (MG), o KroW já se apresentou no Bloodstock
